Why we love shooting at The Green Acres

Incorporating Horses – The ranch is home to the friendliest of horses that no doubt add a fun and whimsical element to any photo session. Whether they're just in the background or if you want to directly interact with the horses, they bring a natural and romantic touch to the session.
Diverse Photo Opportunities – From playful action shots to intimate moments amidst the snowy scenery, this location allows for a variety of photography styles.
Tips for a Successful Winter Engagement Shoot
Dress in Warm Layers – Winter and snowy temperatures can be intense, so layering up ensures you stay comfortable while also being one with the atmosphere. Think cozy fleece jackets, flannels or knit sweaters. Oh, and don't forget your accessories! Fluffy or knit mittens, scarves and hats all add to the winter look.
Plan for Movement – Engaging in light activity, such as walking, piggy back rides and jumping will keep your blood pumping, which actually has 2 benefits: staying warm and dynamic, fun photos!
Embrace the Weather – Snowfall or a crisp (even windy) winter morning can be cold but it can also enhance the romantic atmosphere! This actually gives us lots of opportunity to get cozy shots that truly feel authentic, so cozy up!
Choose the Right Footwear – The last thing you want is for your feet and ankles to be cold and wet during your session. Ensuring you've got proper footwear (BOOTS!!) to explore the snow and uneven terrain is so essential to enjoying your session and keeping warm!
It truly is a dream location for a winter engagement session, offering a mix of romance, adventure, and rustic beauty. Natasa and John’s shoot was a perfect blend of all three, and their love story was beautifully complemented by the magic that winter can have!
